The brief
To transform an uninspiring garden into a series of inviting outdoor spaces where the owners could relax, entertain family and friends, and enjoy a peaceful escape from everyday life.
The challenges
Creating interest and atmosphere within a simple rectangular garden, while making better use of the available space and strengthening the connection between the house and garden.
The design
Inspired by the clients’ favourite destinations, the garden combines generous entertaining spaces and scented planting with a secluded spa-style retreat, reached by boardwalk through naturalistic woodland planting. A striking corten water feature creates a focal point, while winding pathways lead you through the garden.
The outcome
The garden has become a true extension of the home—a place to entertain, unwind and reconnect with nature. Every space has a purpose, creating a beautiful and practical garden that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons.
