Absolutely. While sloping gardens can present challenges, they’re often some of the most rewarding spaces to design.
Rather than seeing a slope as a problem, I like to think about how it can become one of the garden’s greatest assets. Changes in level create opportunities for terraces, steps, seating areas and carefully framed views that simply aren’t possible (or are complex to create) in a completely flat garden.
The key is understanding how people will move through the space while ensuring drainage, retaining structures and access are carefully considered. Every decision needs to balance practicality with aesthetics.
